I stayed in Glenn Inness yesterday and visited the coffee incident for my morning coffee ….. all the normal qualities of a great coffee shop but what impressed me was the warmth of the locals dropping in for their take aways. The social connection between everyone in the shop as well as those coming and going was gentle and caring. Was a pleasure watching good people easily sharing good energy.

Cannot fault this bustling little community hub! I was in Glen Innes for 4 days and visited Coffee Incident 3 times: twice for dine-in coffee, and once for take away coffee and a snack. Coffee was fantastic, service is quick and friendly, and watching staff and customers chat and interact was a highlight. I ordered a pesto and feta savoury muffin this morning, not something I would normally order, but they were fresh out of the oven and smelled amazing. I was not disappointed, I wish I bought two haha!

Food was amazing, could not fault the Granola Bowl it was delicious. My husband had scrambled and bacon, he enjoyed it all. Coffee was the best we had had on our stay in Glen Innes. We sat in the courtyard which was clean and peaceful. Staff were extremely pleasant. Recommend The Coffee Incident for a wonderful breakfast.

Great service, tasty food, good coffee. My son has Coeliac disease and the staff were very attentive and careful to ensure that his food was prepared and cooked separately (they cleaned the hotplate before cooking his bacon and eggs separately from other food, and they toasted the bread on the sandwich press between sheets of baking paper). My son had no bad reactions from the smashed avo with bacon and egg on GF toast, so they obviously did a good job. I would recommend this place to anyone who requires gluten free food, but you will need to speak up about your GF requirements with the staff to ensure that they are aware of the need to avoid cross contamination.
